Learn how Scottsdale Airport’s future is taking shape

Scottsdale Airport is shaping its future through an ongoing Airport Master Plan Update. With two key chapters drafted, Inventory of Existing Conditions and Aviation Activity Forecast, the public is invited to learn more about the airport’s current assets and anticipated aviation demand at the next public workshop.

The public is invited to attend the workshop which takes place from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 20, at the Scottsdale Aviation Business Center, 15000 N. Airport Drive, second floor. Attendees are asked to share their input with the project team who will be on hand to answer questions.

The draft chapters will be available on the website around Thursday, March 13.

“The Inventory and Forecast sections are key building blocks for Scottsdale Airport’s future,” says Kelli Kuester, aviation planning and outreach coordinator. “By understanding what we have now and anticipating future needs, we can make informed, feasible decisions to keep the airport running safely and efficiently for pilots, businesses, and the community.”

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reviews and approves only two sections of an airport master plan -- the Aviation Forecast and the Airport Layout Plan – making these findings important in guiding future development.

To stay informed, visit the project website, subscribe to Scottsdale Airport’s e-newsletter, or follow the airport on X, Facebook or Instagram.
