Stay Fly, Not High Poster Contest

How to enter:

Create an original artwork poster that encourages healthy choices and staying drug free.

Guidelines:

  1. Submission deadline is 5 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 26.
  2. Artwork should be created on 11x17 or 8.5x11 paper. Digital art is permitted, however, all artwork must be entirely original.
  3. Please keep artwork content appropriate.
  4. Two winners will be selected – One for High School & Middle School participants. Winners will receive prizes including a $100 gift card and their artwork displayed in Scottsdale publications and public areas.

Submission:

When submitting, please include your name, email, phone, grade level, school and a name for your design.

Alternate methods:

  • Email poster to Kelly Van Wave.
  • Drop off in-person to Youth & Family Services at 4201 N. Hayden Road.

Overview

The Purpose of the Scottsdale Youth Substance Abuse Coalition (SYSAC) is to create a supportive and empowered youth-led community organization that actively addresses substance abuse among youth. SYSAC aims to engage in prevention initiatives, education, and stigma reduction. SYSAC is committed to community building, collaboration, and diverse representation, amplifying our collective impact.

Grounded in the values of inclusion, compassion, and openness, SYSAC aims to create spaces where all voices are heard, and all individuals are valued and supported. By promoting understanding, empathy, and resilience, we strive to cultivate a community where youth can thrive, free from the harms of substance abuse.

Meeting information

SYSAC Meetings generally occur from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m., every 4th Thursday, but may vary based on other events. If you are interested in attending, please complete the application form below to receive meeting details.
