Scottsdale Civic Center set to host 54th annual Fall Festival

Scottsdale’s Fall Festival has been a cherished community tradition for over five decades - bringing together neighbors and families to celebrate the season. This year, the annual event returns with a new location.

Scottsdale Civic Center, renovated in 2023 as part of the 2019 voter-approved bond – was revitalized into a vibrant downtown gathering space. With new event plazas and upgraded amenities such as a splash pad and playground, Civic Center now serves as a premier destination for concerts, festivals and community celebrations – making it the perfect backdrop for Fall Festival.

“Scottsdale Civic Center gives us the perfect opportunity to grow Fall Festival while keeping it free and welcoming for all,” said Nick Molinari, senior director. “From carnival games and candy to live music and the new cocktail garden, it’s truly a night the whole family can enjoy.”

Festival highlights include live performances by a band and DJ, a magic show and, for the first time, a cocktail garden. Families will find plenty to enjoy with more than 25 carnival-style games, crafts, face painting, a festive pumpkin patch and Trick-or-Treat Alley, where kids can fill their bags with goodies and more. Costumes are welcome but not required - and admission, activities and entertainment are free.

More than 20 city of Scottsdale departments will also be in attendance with interactive booths, giving residents an opportunity to learn more about city initiatives and connect directly with staff. The Scottsdale Public Library invites guests to explore Tales from the Haunted Stacks – a chilling new experience where storybook monsters come to life. The program is designed for ages 10 and older, but all ages are welcome.

Don’t miss out on the fun – Fall Festival takes place from 5 – 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18 at 3939 N. Drinkwater Boulevard.
