The city of Scottsdale recently named Will Lofdahl as the general manager of WestWorld.
Lofdahl brings more than three decades of special event and facility management experience to Scottsdale. As general manager, he will be responsible for the executive leadership, direction, and management of WestWorld, the city’s nationally recognized multi-use event and equestrian center.
Most recently, Lofdahl held the title of vice president of corporate operations at the Regina Exhibition Associated Limited, a 100-acre event and exhibition facility in western Canada that hosts a variety of large-scale events and brings in 3.5 million visitors a year.
Lofdahl has also served as the chief executive officer for the SaskTel Centre, a 15,000-seat sports arena in western Canada and was the assistant general manager for the Georgia Dome, home to the Atlanta Falcons and host to the NCAA men's basketball Final Four tournament during Lofdahl’s tenure.
“I am proud to have been selected as general manager of WestWorld, a facility that has developed a strong international reputation over the years,” he said. “I look forward to working with the WestWorld staff, city administration, our partners and our clients to continue forging a successful path for the facility.”
Lofdahl holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Arizona State University and received a Master of Business Administration degree from Northern Arizona University. He also attended Public Assembly Facility Management School through the International Association of Venue Managers and holds a Certified Venue Executive accreditation from the organization.
