Scottsdale Airport’s master plan update process is cleared for departure

Scottsdale Airport is launching a $1 million master planning project, funded almost entirely by a Federal Aviation Administration Airport Improvement Program grant.

This visionary initiative will shape the airport’s future over the next 20 years, and residents are invited to participate. The master plan is a comprehensive study of the airport’s past and current operations and infrastructure. This study will evaluate current operations and devise short-, medium- and long-term goals for the airport. Please note, the master plan will not include a noise study but will focus solely on essential master plan objectives.

The process will kick off with an open house guided by Coffman Associates, a leading aviation planning firm, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 29, at the Scottsdale Aviation Business Center, 15000 N. Airport Drive.

While the open house will not include presentations, informational boards and project team members will be available during the event.

Throughout the 18-month process, there will be additional opportunities to provide input.
