42 people were arrested during a two-day multi-agency operation targeting human trafficking in Scottsdale, Arizona.
On July 12 and July 13, the Scottsdale Police Human Exploitation and Trafficking Unit (HEAT) conducted a proactive operation to arrest sex buyers, child predators, and individuals involved with the sex trade and trafficking. The operation was decoy-based, with no children directly involved.
The participating agencies included Goodyear PD, Avondale PD, and Surprise PD. This effort reflects our ongoing commitment to combating exploitation and trafficking in our community and ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals.
Within the 42 arrests, there were 11 felonies and 31 misdemeanors with charges including child sex trafficking, pandering, prostitution, drug possession, and various other criminal activities.
