A micro seal surface treatment project is underway on Scottsdale Rd., work is scheduled to be complete by July 19. Crews are working between Indian Bend Rd. and Gold Dust Ave. overnight from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday – Friday. Weekend work will be scheduled if needed. One travel lane, in each direction, will remain open during construction. Business access will be maintained throughout the project.

The micro seal coating helps extend the life of the asphalt and reduces maintenance costs. Additional benefits include a smoother and safer ride and enhanced curb appeal. The finished roadway will be striped in the existing configuration of three travel lanes north and southbound; existing left and right turn bays will be maintained.

This work is part of the city's pavement preservation program, which enhances deteriorated pavement on streets and alleyways in Scottsdale.
