The Scottsdale Fire Department officially dedicated its newly modernized and expanded training facility. Marking a significant step for public safety training in Scottsdale and the region, the facility includes three separate burn towers and rescue training buildings, outside training areas for hazardous materials and aircraft fire fighting, classrooms and training auditorium, and a fire station environment.

The $18.3 million project is part of three voter-approved bond initiatives focused on modernizing Scottsdale’s fire and police training facilities. The upgrades are part of a broader effort to enhance public safety and provide state-of-the-art training for all personnel – the first fire academy class of 36 cadets began their training today.

The facility is located at 911 N. Stadem Drive, Tempe.
