Butterfly Garden Added to Rotary Park
Collaborating as a team, benefits Scottsdale Rotary Park and surrounding neighborhoods. In November 2021, the Neighborhood Advisory Commission, Operation Fix It, Scottsdale Parks and Recreation Department, and employees of private sector company, Republic Services, contributed an overall investment of approximately $21,000 to improve this neighborhood park. $10,000 in Neighborhood Enhancement funds was provided for the purchase of materials, including 70 trees, by the commission and $11,000 in labor costs provided by the 125 volunteers from Republic Services. Notably, in addition, Republic Services also made a financial donation of $2,500 to Operation Fix It, which will continue to help this city program pay it forward in other Scottsdale neighborhoods. Thank you to everyone that participated in one form or another this an extremely successful event!
