On a limited basis, Scottsdale Water offers public tours of its world class Water Campus and Advanced Water Treatment Plant by approved appointment only.

Criteria

Please read through the following criteria before requesting a tour. Once the request is received, Scottsdale Water will review it, then respond to your request. Your request should be emailed to Water Campus Tours.

Tour criteria includes:

  • All approved groups will have a minimum of 10 citizens but no more than 35.
  • All attendees must be 16+ years old.
  • All attendees must wear closed toe shoes.
  • All groups are required to provide attendee’s full names at least one week in advance and have ID the day of the tour.
  • Tour requests should be submitted no fewer than 30 days prior to requested tour date.
  • There are areas on the tour that have uneven terrain and stairs, so handicap access is limited for certain abilities. Handicap and wheelchair attendees must be declared in advance for tour planning purposes.
  • If you have a group with less than 10 participants, please email to be added to a "Single Parties" tour.
  • Tours are subject to staff availability and facility safety requirements. All tours require the approval of the Water Campus Manager. Some facilities or portions of facilities may not be available to tour for safety reasons.
  • Photos may be permitted in certain areas and restricted in others. All photos taken by staff or attendees may be used for marketing purposes.

Tours overview:

  • The tours last approximately 1.5 hours (45 min presentation followed by 45 min walking tour)
  • Tours are conducted on the second OR fourth Thursday of each month (excluding holidays) at 9 a.m.
  • Tours cannot accommodate extended sessions or additional facility use.
  • All safety and security measures must be followed to maintain a secure facility.

Registration

Pursuant to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other nondiscrimination laws and authorities, the city of Scottsdale does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin or disability. Persons who require a reasonable modification based on language or disability should call 480-312-5650 or email. Requests should be made at least fourteen days in advance to ensure the city has an opportunity to address the request.
